V-MODA VIBE DUO iPhone Headphones

Shut the world out and focus on your music! (..or audiobooks, or movies....TV shows...) Really anything you want! These stylin' little earbuds push the sound you want into your ear and keep the rest out. With your choice of 3 different size silicone fittings, V-MODA's "BLISS" technology does a fantastic job of blocking the noise from your surroundings. I actually use these while I'm at work (where I would normally where earplugs!) I can barely hear the damaging drone of the heavy equipment I'm working with and clearly hear what I'm playing on my iPhone.

And I never miss a call either. The comfortable earphones have a built in microphone right on the cord with a built-in button (similar to the OEM ones that came with your phone. The button can be used to answer & end calls, play & stop music tracks, or fast forward. They're essentially a kick-ass version of the stock iPhone headphones that perform excellently! Highly recommended. (...might be a little dangerous if you're driving though.)

Order from Amazon.com now? (way cheaper than stores)

iPhone App: "CameraBag" Make Your iPhone Photos Look Much Better!

Labels: , ,

This easy to use little App makes it actually possible to take decent photo-quality pictures with you iPhone 3G. I've been using the CameraBag App myself to suprprising statisfaction!

Sports an easy to use GUI, incuding iPhone's multi-touch features. The makers advertise it as being like having a bag full of different lenses for your iPhone camera. It essentially runs your photos through your choice of "filters" to mimick different camera styles, including:
  • "Helga" - A square-cropped, "old school" style effect with a washed out look
  • "Instant" - Self explainatory to us 'older' folks.  (What we used for those "private" photos before digital)
  • "1974" - It's like looking through your mother's wedding photos
  • "Lolo" - Very bright colors, but not very crisp. Cool, fun effect with a wide, white border. (Great for furry animals....don't ask)
  • "Cinema" - Like a snapshot from the big screen
  • "1962" - Your parent's baby pictures. Black & White with extreme contrast
  • "Ansel" - Black and White, smooth contrast gradients. The style of famous photographer Ansel Adams. (One of my favorites!)
  • "Infared" - Kind of an inverse Black & White. Similiar to night vision goggles, if you play many military video games then you know what this looks like
  • "Fisheye" - Imagine looking at life through that 'peep-hole' in your front door
  • "Original" - You don't really need a program for this one, but useful for judging what the filters are doing to your pictures

Another nice feature is that it automatically makes copies of your original. So no worries about accidentally losing that in-the-moment snapshot while you play with it! Or you can take new photos from the app itself!  Highly recommended for anyone who likes playing photographer, but can't always bring their "good" camera with them. Also excellent for 'sprucing up' those quick snapshots before uploading them with your Facebook App.

A great deal at only $2.99!

Griffin "Clarifi" w/ Easydock for iPhone 3G

Frustrated whenever you attempt to take a close-up photo (less than 18 inches away) with your iPhone 3g? Tired of blurry images? Well Griffin Technology has a solution for you in this "Clarifi" iPhone case for the 3g. As you can see in the photos above, the "Clarifi" has a nifty little sliding lens cover on the back. This acts as a macro lens for the iPhone's built in camera which allows you to clearly capture any close up objects with your iPhone's camera! Why apple didn't think of this first I have no idea. I'm just glad Griffin did. Available at Apple for about $35 or on Amazon.com for under $20.

In addition to offering sleek looks and protection from daily abuse, this iPhone case also sports an "Easydock" feature. This allows you to holster your iPhone in any cradle or dock system without having to take your iPhone out of the case.

Well done Griffin, you've earned my respect....and money!
